Well, I just gave up on CFS3 for the last time. The sim has been out for a year and the one patch just didn't do it for me. CFS1 and 2 were so good, what happened? I guess a classic case of over-engineering.

Anyway, I just bought IL-2 FB and was looking for a patch on the website. Could it be there is no patch?

I am most interested in flying online. If anyone has any input that would help me get started, as in any mods or patches for flying online, it would be quite appreciated.

Here you go. You need the full 1.11 patch.

You want the ...

patch111_full.exe - Retail v1.0 -> v1.11 patch

Try training in the P11c or TB~3 bomber first (with no multi engine control). Although I am mainly thinking of complete Newbies to flight sims, I am wondering if these two aircraft are the best to teach basic flying for FB. Although the IL~2 is super sweet and can land on almost anything without damage. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I wish they had made the trainers flyable for both sides:: Fiesler Stroch for German and U~2 for Soviet.
