Hi,

Things have been suspiciously quiet over the week...will there be a patch tomorrow (not the v3.02 mini patch) or next week?

Please commence with the 'two weeks' jokes below.

Cheers,
Norris

cant wait for the new planes! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I remember Mr Maddox saying that J2M and N1K would be flyable eventually, should we expect em to be flyable with the new patch, as well as Ki-100?? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

it would rock!

They never said it would come out in a week. So I was kind of hoping that it would but I'll be here when it comes.

So I'll say: Between now and then http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hopefully, this patch will fix the freezes and texture flickerings. If it does that, I'll be happy. Right now, for many people, this game is virtually unplayable.

IIRC, Hunter82 said something about the add-on with the new planes being around 300-500 mb, so i think the posibility of it being free, is quite small http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif
Also Oleg stated that there will be a next small pach coming in in two weeks http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif, probably fixind this and that, not nbecesarily adding new planes.

I was under the impression that v3.01 was released to fix some of the bugs/FM issues and that we'd have another patch soon after (I had the idea it would be a matter of a week/weeks) with the missing aircraft in + some 'other goodies'. Presumably this would have been 3.1 or v3.03 as we were supposed to get another patch (V3.02) to permit some dot range thingymabob changes.

i.e. I was never under the impression that we'd be shelling out some more cash for the missing planes advertised on the PF box to be added in another pay add-on....

If there is a paid add-on with some nice planes in it (Mossie, Ju88 etc) then that's fine but that's a different kettle of fish.

Skychimp: I hope they don't monkey (pardon the pun) around with the graphics of v3.01 because, quite frankly, PF is now running nearly as well as my old Il-2 did on this setup and that's quite amazing - v3.00 was another story, though. That ran about as well as Psion Flight Simulator re-written to be entirely in Sinclair Basic.

Cheers,
Norris

The part with being a paid add-on is just my speculation, i would certainly love to be released free, but since it will probably include all (or most) of the planes that now are WiP, we may be in the same situation as we were with AEP. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

i hope that the B5N2 becomes flyable in some patch soonish, it really is a plane IL2 needs.

The upcoming add on will be free... it is mainly meant to add the aircraft promised with the release of PF that didn't quite make it because of the controversial 2 CD decision. Betty, Buffalo... in addition to Betty/Baka, Goshikisen and (fingers crossed on this one) AI Tempest. I also have some hope that the ship choices will be somewhat improved with the Add-on. IJN Cruisers... that'd be fine.

I don`t think we`ll get it tomorrow. Most of us didn`t even check out all changes made by the patch and some of us are even now in awe(but no online wars going on booohoo!;().

I think it will be released in two weeks when the whole attention over pv3.01 is over.

300-500MB? I had no idea it'd be so big. I wonder exactly what planes(or other stuff) we're getting. All I knew about was the Ki-100,F2A cockpit and a G4M (along with a non-flyable Okha). I wouldn't think those alone would make the patch size so high.

I think he's talking about the size of the DS package for the new maps.

The 1.20FB patch and other Il2 patches have added 2 or 3 planes to the game at a time and they were never anywhere near that big.

I really can wait for the new planes.

What i like to be fixed asap. is the stupid undercarriage bug at the stuka and the A6M2N Rufe seaplane.
I can't continue the Rufe campaign because
loosing big parts of the plane whenever I get over 400 kmh is just to annoying http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

btw. the new graphics, fps and dots are great. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
but you can keep the new exe. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Erm.....yes there is!!

Check out Forgotten Skies (http://www.forgottenskies.com/ForgottenWars/default.aspx), and Iron Skies (http://www.nightbomber.com/IronSkies/index.html).

Forgotten Skies has just started the battle of Kursk, and Iron Skies has just fired up it's Pacific campaign. There are normally 3-4 missions per week in Forgotten Skies, and the Iron Skies missions are flown at the weekend, so I'd say there's plenty to choose from at the moment.

we don't need more planes.
Why?
Because 99% of servers online allow you to fly only certain type of planes.
Period.

Nooooooooooooo!JZG is registered in IS as allied! Can jzg be registered as another squad flying axis?

Tooz_69GIAP

Well, I'd suggest going over to the IS forums, and posting about it, or ask yer CO why you are allied rather than axis.

btw, axis in IS is currently the Japanese, not the Germans, and from what I have seen, the vast majority of axis german squads tend to switch to flying allied for the Pacific theatre. Perhaps you think differently, which would certainly be cool as squads flying as Japanese are thinon the ground right now!!!

300 - 500 MB size should be the dedicated server patch (for 128 players online). It was promised even before release of PF (same thing with some planes) but because of their awful and well known incompetence and unreliability UBI doesn't manage to release it up to now. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Sadly, UBI always find silly customers who believe this promises

Having the Finland winter map but no Fokker D XXI to simulate the winter war is like having a good soup, but no spoon.....
