All those who are waiting with baited breath for the forthcomming mustang are i suspect going to be disapointed. Not because it isnt going to be a excellent plane but because they will have to think how to use it!
The mustang is a thinking man"s plane ,you have to understand it unlike a yak9 which does what you want of it and so is excellent plane for beginners .Remember Janes ww11 planes nobody ever flew the mustang because they didnt know how to fly it .

Another example already existing is the FW190 A5 which is a superb plane but thought to be not so because most pilots dont know how to fly it .It took me six months of being shot down to work that plane out ( always go verticle and roll as muchas possible ).

Remember this waring and dont complain when the new mustang arrives !

I have heard flying the Mustang was like driving a sports car...flying the Jug wasl like driving a cadillac.....this is a quote from a 332nd pilot named Leaher ..... forgot his first name. My breath is still baited........./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Two threads with different titles, but the same post. Are you as confused about posting, as you are about the P-51?

What are YOU saying, you can't think or you just can't fly?
