who else has probs with the sound ?
when i turn my head in cockpit the sound really is horrible.
it suddenly twice as soft and no bass.
it gets annoying when i turn alot trying to find targets.
maybe my soundsetting is wrong, could be, but dont know what to change then.

It looks like your settings are missing something. I have no sound problems at all. As usually, make sure you have the latest drivers for your Sound card, and try different settings in game.

I have the same problem, but it's not the game it's the souncard. Mine is totally messed up, dunno if there's something with the settings.

I experience something similar, even though I just switched from an ageing SB Live! to an Audigy 2. I use headphones with a TRackIR3 Pro and as I pivot from straight ahead to either 5 or 7 o-clock (as per TIR), the sound softens around the halfway mark on either side and rebounds as I approach the limits of my visual sweep. It doesn't bother me that much, but if any knows how to fix it - I'll be much obliged.

PS - Tweaking the Audigy's settings don't make a difference that I've been able to find.

I have a audigy 2 Z and had this issue until I went to 22 khz and extensions on.

Thanks - I'll give it a shot tonight and report back.

My extensions were already enabled - so no change to report.

Your speakers are correctly configured in PF and Windows, right?
