Ok, so why cant i go faster than 1X when i'm close to shore? I'm trying to infiltrate the Firth of Forth but ive still got at least 15 KM to do to get by the coastal batteries at 3 knots underwater, do you mean to tell me im going to have to wait through that whole time?

There are several situations in which the game forces you to use 1x compressions. One is if there is less than a certain depth of water under your keel.

You can edit these settings in the Main.cfg file in the SH3/data/cfg directory.

In the [TIME COMPRESSION] section simply change LandProximity=1 to whatever you like, I use 256.

Works like a charm.

Another question, what does "synchronized" mean in the video settings?

Oh yeah, and is there a way i can change the depth under keel time limitation? I couldnt find it in most of the cfg files.

There is no such thing as "depth under keel time limitation". Change the LandProximity entry as I have suggested in my first post.

Tried it, nada. Set it to 256 but i can only get up to about 32X, and then only for a second every once in a while.

My bad.

You have to change the Main.cfg file in the c:\my documents/sh3/data/cfg folder so that it affects your campaign game.
