View Full Version : Never underestimate Beer.

A Slovak man trapped in his car under an avalanche freed himself by drinking 60 bottles of beer and urinating on the snow to melt it.

Rescue teams found Richard Kral drunk and staggering along a mountain path four days after his Audi car was buried in the Slovak Tatra mountains.

He told them that after the avalanche, he had opened his car window and tried to dig his way out.

But as he dug with his hands, he realised the snow would fill his car before he managed to break through.

He had 60 half-litre bottles of beer in his car as he was going on holiday, and after cracking one open to think about the problem he realised he could urinate on the snow to melt it, local media reported.

He said: "I was scooping the snow from above me and packing it down below the window, and then I peed on it to melt it. It was hard and now my kidneys and liver hurt. But I'm glad the beer I took on holiday turned out to be useful and I managed to get out of there."

Now thats improvisation. Although I'll make a safe bet that many in this forum including myself have drank 60 beers in four days...

Police hunt poo protesters

Police in Germany are hunting pranksters who have been sticking miniature US flags into piles of dog poo in public parks.

Josef Oettl, parks administrator for Bayreuth, said: "This has been going on for about a year now, and there must be 2,000 to 3,000 piles of excrement that have been claimed during that time."

The series of incidents was originally thought to be some sort of protest against the US-led invasion of Iraq.

And then when it continued it was thought to be a protest against President George W. Bush's campaign for

re-election.

But it is still going on and the police say they are completely baffled as to who is to blame.

"We have sent out extra patrols to try to catch whoever is doing this in the act," said police spokesman Reiner Kuechler.

"But frankly, we don't know what we would do if we caught them red handed."

Legal experts say there is no law against using faeces as a flag stand and the federal constitution is vague on the issue.

I think it's BS. Just pouring the beer would have been more efficient and as effective--assumming it didn't freeze first.

My vote is that the guy was lying to get out of being charged with being drunk in public.

This one sounds a lot like an incident I witnessed at Great Lakes Naval Station, Illinois, in early 1976. While I was attending Electronics Technician 'A' School, students living in the barracks were assigned to clean the barracks' common areas and bathrooms on their weekend duty days. This usually worked out to once every 5 weeks (5 section duty resulted in a 24 hour duty day every 5th day, so every 4th or 5th duty day fell on a weekend), you'd end up cleaning the halls, break areas and lounges, and the 'heads'.

I was the section leader on one particular weekend, supervising the twenty five or so guys on duty in our building that weekend, when one of the guys assigned to the second deck came down and said "You guys have GOT to see this!"

We followed him up to the second deck and into one of the four bathrooms. A crowd of young sailers was gathered around one toilet stall laughing and staring at the biggest, thickest t*rd I've ever seen peaking just above the top of the bowl, coiled, perfectly centered and filling it, looking for all the world like an enormous, smelly chocolate Soft Serve Ice Cream Sundae.

It was simply too big to flush, and the 'owner' had obviously been proud of his accomplishment: topping it off was a little toy soldier with an American flag on a toothpick taped to his rifle.

Clearly, the perpetrator (or his spiritual heir) has moved to Germany...

cheers

PS -figure out for yourselves how we got rid of it...
