I recently started a campaign with the FW-190A4 at Stalingrad and i've got to say i'm in love.

I usually fly the Bf-109's with little sucsess and thought i'dd give the 190 a try.

I have been using energy tactics and i'm kicking ***. 5 missions, 18 air kills ,11 ground kills
and have only been lightly damaged once. I got five kills in mission 2 and six in mission 5 and
my buddies seem to be able to survive. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I cant wait to fly the later models of this death machine.

Yeah, I'm really getting into the 190 as well. Offline it is hard to beat. Online it is a different story, mainly because hardly anybody flies as a team which is a must for the 190. Enjoy!

You'll find when you get to the later Fw's. The Russians have much better planes too. It won't be so easy then../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Yeah Buzz i though that might be the case. Most of the planes i've shot down so far are I-16's, Lagg-3 S4's and La-5's.

My Smolensk 1944 campaign with FW 190 A-8:

1.mission: losses/kills: 0/8
2.mis: 1/16
3.mis: 0/10
...

The VVS-AI is simply stupid in this campaign! Try it and you will see. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

True Buzz, I think 1943 and the A-5 offers the 190 the biggest performance gap. The A-4 in '42 is ok and things get tough in'44. The A-9(R2) is the best 190 in '44 IMHO and I have some success with it, much more so than in the Dora, F-8, or A-8. And Buzz, I see you have been changing up the sig alot again lately. The picture of the red Yak was brutal, lol. I tried to find a good pic of a Yak for an hour or two one night and found nothing. Hard to find good pics of Soviet planes. Are you trying out the 190 now as well?

I always fly the Fw190. I love it. I'm waiting to see how the patch helps the Dora. It's beginning to grow on me, even though I like the looks of the A series better.

I also like to fool with aerobatics. That's what the red Yak was all about. You can see the real one here.
