The GT sim is rumored to be out in December.Probably more like Q1 of 2007.

There is an excellent WWI addon for cfs3 called Over Flanders Fields.(OFF)It is available now.You do need cfs3 for the install but can then be removed as OFF is a standalone game.

Http://www.off.oldbrowndog.net is the webpage.

There is also an excellent forum over at Sim-Outhouse.com.It is a sub forum of the cfs3 forum.

wow thanks for that link... I just got extremely interested in OFF... do you know what the system requirements for it are? the same as for CFS 3?

I don't think it said anything about that on the site.

Does OFF still require umpteen downloads of slow speed?Would be tempted but last time I checked it seemed very complicated to install...

yeah no kidding...

I took a look and it seemed really complicated. as far as I could tell they only had patches on their download section. where's the original add on? they only had some really vague instructions for installation like "install starting with patch number one"

NNNNope jsut one supah patch.

Troll2K I knew I have seen you in some another forum before. Nice for you to join this forum after all the negatives has been said about this program.

Yes the Over Flander Fields is a great addon by great group of guys. But I also will like to see a dedicated Sim for World war one.

I cannot wait for this new Sim.

The main proram is about a 600 meg d/l(version .3).Then you need the super patch which is about 100 megs.(the super patch is a consolidation of all the previous patches). And if you want to fly online you will need to reapply the .34 multiplayer patch.

All available on their page in the d/l section.

Since it is an addon their install must be followed exactly.(they need to work on their installer)

There is a guy over there that posts video clips of some of their online exploits in the sim-outhouse forum.

Evendow Troll2K is a CFS3 promoter he is right. All you need is to Buy CFS3. Go to http://off.oldbrowndog.net/downloads.htm and down load it. Its a pretty good addon.

No your PC will not have a melt down if you install CFS3 in your PC. It will only add to your World war two Simulator experience.

Now Troll2K you have to admitt that Pacific Fighter is also a very good simulator. Have you flown the Zero in the Pacific or the Yak3 in the Eastern Front. Now that a blast.

There is nothing as much fun as to been able to take off from a carrier. I hope you are enjoying this program as much as CFS3. Hey! CFS2 is not a bad Simulator after all the upgrades froms it community.I love this three Simulator. You also can also create WW1 missions and campaign with CFS2.Check this site out

Going back on the Subject of WWI. OFF is a very nice Addon and I highly recommend it but that does not mean that we do not need a dedicated WWI Simulator in the Future.

I"am looking forward for this new WWI Simulator.

MiamiEagle I am not a cfs3 promoter.I never flew it.I only got it so I could load OFF.I fly strictly FB/AEP/PF (except for OFF).If I did not occassionally need a file from the cfs3 folder it would have been long gone from my machine.

I am not sure where you have seen me before but I do not post anywhere except Ubi.

I too patiently await the WWI sim by the Gennadich team.I was just pointing out there is someting out there now.Good, bad or otherwise.

Troll2K maybe I confuse you for some one else in another forum. He is a die hard CFS3 fan and is always bashing CFS2 and the Pacific Fighter program. I found it hard to digest that this gentleman would bee posting here after all the things he has said about Oleg and Pacific Fighter throughout the years.

In my opinion Pacific Fighter and Combat flight Simulator 2 after all the upgrades are better than Combat flight Simulator 3. I do like CFS3 and the OFF addon and its community but I do like people that treat it as if where the last soda pop drink in a desert Island.

I do apologies if you are not that person.

Best thing to say is try it, and read throught the SOH forums. Most people seem to like it. I didn't like CFS3 at all and in fact sold it a few weeks after buying it. But once I heard there was a WW1 mod coming out I bought it again.

Later I got asked to join the dev team http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif all I'd say is IL2 is superb I have all the add-ons etc so I'm not anti anything. OFF is not CFS3 anymore total converstion of scenery, aircraft, ground models, world, weather, etc etc...

I may be bias but all I can say it just try it and have fun. No-one will hold it aginst you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

(aka Polovski).

I can't abide CFS3 (except you can check six better than in IL-2---that's it). I have tried OVER FLANDERS FIELDS and found it to be extremely interesting as a diversion from the Maddox line---but, after a great deal of play, I wearied of the comparatively crude flight model. The Russian design based on the IL-2 FM is what interests me---it will blow OFF away, I hope.
