I just got this game Pacific Fighters sim and installed it along with all the patches. I watched the training videos about takeoff from the carrier deck

So I tried it. I made sure I had a clear path, flaps up, started my engine(I) and held on to the wheel brake(B). When the engine reached full rpm(100%), then I applied the throttle on my joystick. I then released the wheel brake pedal(B). But the plane won't go forward at all? What's wrong? THE PLANE WON'T MOVE? I did everything. I can't get my aircraft to move, let alone fly? Please help. Thanks

You have to go into "control", and assign a key to "chock off." Trust me, EVERYBODY went through this trobule....

Also, while you're messing with controls, assign a key stroke for raising and lowering your landing gear manually

The F4F really had a hand crank to move the undercarriage. The crank handle can be seen in the cockpit, on the right hand side http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

If you ever fly a German plane you'll need Shift-F1 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Not a lot of Gerry planes in PF http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Still, the Shift+F1 trick applies to some Japanese planes http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

all my "accidents" have been reduced by mapping those functions to 2 keys...ctrl+x. fold wings and turning off engine are a thing of the past.

On the off chance you want to land the plane again, you will also need to assign a key for your tail hook.

Comes in handy sometimes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
