This is fairly new. It's just a late article talking about gamescom where Patrice showed the demonstration being explained.

But I did post this in the "Alot of new articles" thread. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Thank you, it's new to me and many other people I think.

Wait, why is the feet button suddenly to steal?
"The Y button is assigned to eagle vision, B is for tackles or gentle pushes, and A is used to sprint, free-run, jump, or steal."

Maybe the blend is on toggle and if you use freehand while blending it will pickpocket.

I hope that now everybody doesn't begin stopping while walking to look behind them and check their pockets and giving you death threats if you stand near them. The thugs were annoying enough. Yes, a thug giving a very obviously dressed ASSASSIN a death threat.

Anyway, the entire part with the crisscross grid on the ground is very hard to visualize and makes no sense to me. Hopefully it looks better than it sounds.

i think the criss cross will just be a compass of some sorts... not literally giving you north south east west but it would tell you what direction ezio was facing and where his aim might be directed if using his bullet maybe???

also since they did away with the click "a" to pray with the preists maybe they changed "a" to steal now that you can blend with any crowd

I found an article that explains pickpocketing.

By the way, the article you posted says that that demo takes place in 1478, so the game almost certainly takes place of the span of 10 years. Especially since the author says "the now boy Ezio". Which means he'll probably look different throughout the game as well. A nice little detail http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Regarding the gun interface:

like

or

THE RED PARTS ARE WHERE THE BULLET MIGHT HIT.

So the lines will converge the longer you hold it.

But will they converge on the same spot always (let's say the heart?) or will you choose where you want to converge them?

Also, on one article it's said that Patrice stresses that it is not a mission from the game, but on this article (the one that kyle found) it's said that it is a mission from the game.

I'm confused.

It's not a main mission. Patrice was demonstrating a side mission.

It's the first of a series of optional side quests. However this one is not optional.

And I'm assuming that they converge on whatever you're locked on to.

Checked. They still kinda confirmed that it will be over several years though.
Also, thanks for the article. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I don't know how that became a typo, my brain was thinking one thing, my fingers another http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyway, I wonder if the story progresses linearly like in AC1, or if there's some sort of flashbacks.

Actually, he says “new boy Ezio”. I believe he’s referring to the fact the game has a new main character.

Agreed. He's describing the same mission as everyone else.
