Hi all,

6 months ago I dismantled my pc to better my friend's. PF had outgrown my system and it was useless to keep trying to play. So I figured I will wait until BoB to buy a new system.

Anyways, more and more I miss the game, up to AEP that is. Lastnight I had a dream. I was playing in an online df server. The cool thing was, I was on the ground, outside of a plane. I was an AAA gunner. When I woke up I thought that would be so cool if I could do that in the game.

How difficult would that be? Could be an interesting addition to the game.

Dude...get a new rig and get your backside back in the air!

Crack, heroine, doobage...there is NO substitute for the rush of a lengthy online engagement...and it's legal.

What are you thinking man?

Maybe you guyz have never played a coop in the gunner's position. I've done this and found it was pretty cool. Using TS I communicated with the plot and we worked well together. Adding other positions into the game would add to immersion.

As for buying a new rig, I'm too busy now and would rather wait for BoB. The release of PF has killed my interest in playing for the moment. My squadron has set up a server and it is usually empty. We are all waiting for BoB.

Next time I'll use some icons for you so you'll know what is meant as a joke and what isn't. And thanx for reminding me why I stopped posting in this forum. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Hey Arnie, long time no see.

Sorry I couldn't catch up with you the last time I was in Germany, things got a little hectic. Currently I'm rearranging my business so I can run it from Germany. I will move there within 4 months. My stay there gave me a good impression.

This is just one of a few reasons I don't build another pc here. I don't have the time either.

I miss flying on your server. The best server I've played. Are you guyz taking on any new pilots? There's no point of me remaining with JG/54 here in China due to the time difference. Do you guyz have a website yet?

I haven't flown in 6 months so I'll be a newb again for the first while. It comes back though.

Shoot me while you can http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Well, its kinda calm these days, currently I'm the only active member, pretty much. But maybe after the patch it will start picking up.. So we'll see how it goes. But you'd be welcome when you are up and running again for sure. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Website is being worked on, but halted atm since its not needed yet. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No worries about the catching up, I am busy enough myself. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'll straffe you on your miserable takeoff attempts, or straffe your wreckage if needed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Instead of being supportive I chose to be an "enabler". Nonetheless, no offense intended. Your life is yours brother...do with it what you will.

I've taken plenty of time off lately myself and have enjoyed returning to see what I've missed. But that's just me. I have a beautiful, loving Wife and 5 smart, well-adjusted children. This is just a game for me.

Tbolt, you don't know how much I miss the game. I've downloaded a couple IL-2 movies and when I watch them it's kinda a "sweet torture". It's my fault of course, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and became really annoyed when my pc couldn't handle the game with 100% efficiency. Even more annoyed when my hatswitch fails me.
But there's more to life than a game. I have to complete my career goals. My rewards will be a relocation to Germany, a monster pc, sticks, pedals, trackIR, slowly picking Arnie's plane apart, and an awesome sound system so I can clearly hear Arnie hitting the ground. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Five kids?! I believe if it wasn't for IL-2 you might have 10 kids by now. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Have you started flight training them yet?

Arnie, what's your favorite ride these days? Still flying termite food or the pretty-40 with no ballz? I actually like the P-40 but wish it had more power.

When I'm back it will be 109's, 190's, and Spits for me.

I just love the FW190 Antons. Dora sometimes, but I prefer 42/43 planesets.

When sides need balancing, I'll fly anything. Its nice to try many planes. Although P-40 and P-39 are high up in my top 3. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
