View Full Version : Hello..

...from a new member who has been lurking around here for a while. I am pushing 50 years young and can remember the first flight sims made for the PC. F15 on a commodore, to Falcon 3 on a 486, to IL2 on a P3. Il2 IMHO is the greatest flight sim out today. Just got 1946, and X52 stick and throttle, but my MSFFB2 is the bomb. The x52 stick is being used for other things http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif Anyway, I wanted to say hello and while I may not be able to contribute alot here, I wanted to say that this forum is great. I have learned alot. Here is a link that was sent to me that I think you all will enjoy:
Oshkosh airshow 2009..

Remember I am a newbie here so if my post dosen't link right just shoot me down!

Welcome Fiberbot. Great Video http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

As you've probably gathered we are a friendly lot here (except when we're arguing about politics, or whether you can knock out a Tiger tank with a .50 cal MG http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif). Feel free to ask questions, or provide answers for that matter. Newcomers of any age welcome, though you are a mere stripling compared to a few here anyway...

I spy a mustang model on the right, above it something that's probably a FW190 (edit: or is that an early 109?), and above that something from RAF, probably a clipped wingtip spit?

Hello and welcome.
There are quite a few of us here that started "flying" on the Commodore 64 and have been hooked ever since.

Thanks for the welcome. Yea...Fiberbot...related to my telcomms job. Would like to change it to NYAIRMAN...related to my high powered airguns and flying sims! Not sure if I can change the username though. Just ordered a Trackir 5 and tonight I will attempt that 4.09 install!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

The only way you can do this is to open another account in your new name. Your posts can't be brought over.
