How many of you guys also fly your campaigns full real, all manual? I try to play one mission from one of my campaigns like that a night. If I can't I just pretend I/my squadron was grounded for the day and generate a new one the next day. There's a certain satisfaction to flying a 3 and a half hour mission. Even if you do only get one/two kills. After that I just frag fest the rest of my free time away http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

Anyways, anyone else do this? Or am I just ****ing nuts.

I don;t do fully real, but I like the long trip there (trying to stay in formation) and then frezied activity then limping back home.

For me it makes me fly a little less agressively, spent all that time flying there and all

hi,

I still play around with the campaigns. Not on full real, I still like to look at my airplane. Just to make sure it's still in one piece after some action.
Flying around with no action for hours isn't interesting to me. So I speed time up to get to target(s).
I realize that the enemy knows I'm the most dangerous threat to them. That's why the enemy fighters and AAA attack me primarily.
There must be some markings on my plane that only the enemy can see to identify me to them.
So I always fly as the squadron leader, and lead my flight into combat with the knowledge that *I* am the one the enemy wants.
Usually I'll fly out ahead of the rest the squadron and "clear the way".
If I spot a lot of enemy fighters, I'll wait for the rest of my squadron to catch up and do what I can to organize an attack.
I just started a campaign flying the La-5FN. Making mincemeat of the Germans. Even with limited ammo, I knocked down six enemy aircraft on my first mission. Love the firepower of those twin 20mm.
I don't do that well every mission, but the AI really seems dumbfounded when I boom and zoom.

I'm pretty cheesy when I fly my campaigns, because I do use the external views. My gunnery skills have gotten pretty decent. Don't fly with unlimited ammo no more, hehe.
It's just fun for me to see things go down in flames. Love the damage modeling in this game.

But I mainly play online now. Because I like to fly all the different kinds of aircraft we have available to us in this game. If you fly online, you might see me in Hyperlobby as Nastee. I sure as hell ain't the best, but I do my best to knock em down while trying to stay up there. Bombing aircraft carriers is fun.

Actually, I do use externals. I don't use them to look at the enemy, or even during a fight. I will use them to check for leaks after the fight though. Since I can't ask my wingman or even look around quite realisticly (no leaning around),I figure it's the only way to do that. Other than that, I do fly full real. That totally excludes time lapse funtions though as I have to be scanning the whole mission.

I tried once to play a historical campaign but it ended before it started :P I was with the japanese side, and started on a carrier, along with 5-10 other players. And ... well... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif we could not decide who would take off first ... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif ... and you get the idea about what happened http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I guess that the deck of that carrier after our very "succesfull" take off would look pretty ugly hahahahahaha
