yea i cant wait for that to come out on 360. I spent 4Gs on a new tv for the 360. all these new games should kick a$$.

What I gather from that article...

Not actually dynamic missions in the sense that IL-2 has dynamic missions - what's there in the map and where is still hard-coded, they're just not telling you everything up front.

Once you've played through a mission and discovered its secrets, the replayability is still out the window.

Yeah, the commercial Red Orchestra is going to be excellent, I hope. I've been playing the UT2k4 mod for quite a while.

Good idea to start the mision from the plane. Even if I wouldn't really call it "dynamic" it'll help making the game less linear.

And for Red Orchestra... I can't wait to ge in one those tanks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

SOF2 had a random mission generator that was rather nice for the time. One entered a 'random seed' string of letters and numerals. The game engine then generated a map with topography that was influenced by the random seed. The only problem was that random lumpy landscapes got boring after a while and there were very few objects in the game. I think IL2 has more building models than SOF2.

One had a choice of Chinese gangster enemies, South American drug cartel enemies, and some sort of vaguely slavic Soviet enemy for the winter time maps. And there were only three kinds of mission. But it did refresh the gameplay value of SOF2 for a month or two.

im playing red orchestra since their first mod release for ut2003 and it is since then the only fps i touch. the commecial version will blow all competing products out of the water.

but its mp only!

yeah red orchestra ostfront is looking awesome. its gonna be like IL-2 but on the ground

multiplayer = most dynamic mission.
