and do it well, has to be that of a wingman. If my AI-ace flight leader ain't always putting us into impossible situations, he's pulling manuevers that put my lights out.

Doing the job well enough so that you both make it through a furball is actually rather rewarding ... however, I do wish that the AI would learn to BnZ a bit better.

I like to call the AI beserkers. As soon as they spot the enemy they go beserk, fly towards their targets in a shortest way possible (usually over heavily flakked area's) in some blind rage or fury.

I don't think they see anything else after that, just that enemy plane that they want to kill. Or that enemy bomber.

I was csf2'ing last night and usually didn't relly too much on wingmen , but I was in such a deep doodoo and this guy , Steve Cook saved my skin. I just calle dhim once , he turned the Wildcat towards me and engaged the boozoo at my six.
Back to FB , if I'm flyin' in formation of 4 , is impossible to keep all of them with you. The wingman is easy to control , you just say to him to rejoin once you have spotted the enemy. Then when the yaks are comin' and start turning after you , you give the order to attack. In 60% of the case it works. This if you fly offline , online is much more easier. The only way to enjoy FB offline is the FMB , but even this one is a joke compared with many , many , many other sims on the market.

BTW , anyone did een the water in Lock On? You can swear is Bermuda!!!
