When I first saw these placeable runways in the "Ships" list in FMB, I was ecstatic. I thought that finally my FMB dream had come true and I could now place my own runways on flat parts of the map. But I found that this isnt the case cause theyre elevated off the ground http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif. Pwitty Pwease I want them to sink into the ground so I can actually use them. *Makes puppy face*

a sunken one, and a non existant one so we can put seaplane bases anywhere would be great http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

You can still use them, I do. The grafix looks odd, but the map functionality of having aircraft being able to take off and land and join up in formation (set to "escort") is worth the odd looking grafic.

btw...you mean the static Test Runways under "Stationary Ships" ... not the ones under "Ships" which move and cannot be placed on land. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

a floating dock type of runway with water spawn is needed badly for the floatplanes.

Also some test runways of dirt and grass is needed.

Some other types congrete dirt grass with say 2-4 spawns only from that runway or for some 262 online bases would be appropriate and add to online play alot.

I also think they can sink the test runways down by half or angle the slope so the aircraft can roll from ground to runway.

I love these test runways, TOTALLY! They're a big help for the Nachthexen campaign. However, in order for it to look realistic I would greatly appreciate dirt strips. Something short, grassy, and muddy looking. I also think it would be great if we could vary their length using a sliding bar like we can increase/decrease target area and base area size in the FMB.

If they could conform to the land it would be great too. For example, if the land is angled on one plane, to have the runway angled on that plane the same way. I'm not asking for a wraparound of two planes, but that would be cool too.

Overall, this is an incredible new feature to the game. I absolutely love it and it helps add realism for us. Thank you so much!

IT'd be nice if we a get a whole Airports subdirectory and get all the types in the game. That way we can really build airports the way we want them.

It would be even better if their parts got separated-ramps, taxiways, runways etc. We could be trying for authentic recreations then!
