Hi,
Has anybody been to The British Museum in London?
Is there anything there pertaining to U-boats especially?
I would like to go and check it out if there is.
Thanks a lot if you can help,
KUrtz.

As I remember it, the British Museum, while an excellent place to visit, has nothing about (20th century at least) war. May be worth a check at their website (http://www.thebritishmuseum.ac.uk/) though.

On the other hand, the Imperial War Museum (http://london.iwm.org.uk/) is certainly always worth a visit, though it is mainly from the British and Commonwealth military point of view than a look at German history. Lambeth North on the Underground. (It's off the beaten path and across the Thames from the 'main' attractions.

For any student of WW2 visiting London, I'd also recommend the Cabinet War Rooms (http://cwr.iwm.org.uk/).

Haven't been to the British Museum for years, can't recall anything about U-Boats there U301.

If you're planning a trip 'to town', HMS Belfast is worth a visit. (http://hmsbelfast.iwm.org.uk/) Moored on the Thames, it's fairly central.
