I submit that this post may be the most tenuously on topic post in quite some time. (or not http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )

Ruth Duccini, who traveled from Minnesota to play a Munchkin villager, said she had never seen another little person in her life before she showed up on the set of "The Wizard of Oz," which is where she met her husband. She did not stay in show business though, and later worked as a riveter during World War II.

"I could get in all the small places the bigger people couldn't get to," she said. "I'm very proud of that time in my life."

At the risk of turning tasteless -

In other little people news the worlds tiniest Parachutist (Military) is likely the Phillipino actor Weng Weng who was jump qualified by the Philippine Army under Marcos. There is a Youtube tribute movie about him here -

His movie Impossible Kid is legally available to download here if you have no life and are so inclined -

OK now get back to the game and the War.

Last week the munchkins were given a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Ruth Ducini was there as well as other fellow munchkins.

It's a new Sci-Fi show about the Outer Zone and some evil witch-person who wants to be like Davey Jones and suck out your soul. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Basically a science fiction Wizard of Oz.
