Carrier damage not recorded?

I went to all the trouble of making a carrier vs carrier engagement in Il-2 "DCG" (a campagin generator that helped make Il-2 so endearing).

But everytime the mission ends and the next one starts the carrier are back at full life!

This is sad!! This is crushing!!

Can't Il-2 Pacific Fighters record bombs that successfully hit a carrier!?

How can such a perfectly designed game have this one oppressive flaw?

Agreed. It`s a bit of a blow out to see a Carrier get hit several times and smoking, then next mission it`s instantly fixed.

More work needs to be done in carrying over damage with all its consequences (like fewer aircraft able to fly etc).

And its not just ships. Many times I take out AA emplacements just to have them live again next mission. Though the enemy may have replacements laying around I doubt they have 20+ just waiting to replace the ones I take out.

this is a valid point absolutely.

Damage from attacks that carry over from mission to mission in campaigns should be a considered fundamental. We should not even have to say it.

It took some "amatures" in the IL-2 community to do it with Scorched Earth. Makes you wonder what the "professionals" at 1:C were doing with their spare time. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
