OK.. is it just bad luck, or the heavy flak is still way too accurate.. particularly russian heavy flak. I was just shotdown in my BF-109 F-2 third time in row by russian heavy flak at altitude of 6000 meters. I have to seriously doubt, that russian 85 mm can hit small fighters at such altitude..

Light flak is more or less fine, meaning they wont hit you by fast attack, but if you stay over target light flak will get you.. but heavy flak is still a joke in this game, they are still sniper gunners.

Comments? Imho heavy flak should be towned down progreslively by altitude you are flying.. so they won't hit you from above 4km that well..

This link has some info on the effectiveness of German AAA.

Some of the numbers may surprise you.

I've found since 1.11, life around flak both light and heavy is much more survivable.

The thing to remember about heavy flak is that it's built specifically for shooting at higher altitudes.

I'd say you've just had a run of bad luck. I assume you're not spending too much time flying straight and level. If you're using autopilot, it can make you far more vulnerable to heavy flak, so it pays not to use it on long runs near enemy AAA.

Good luck!

oh, by the way, great pic for your sig!!!

cheers,
