Lately I´ve noticed a few sigs were gif files, with spinning props or flashing guns. I have a few gif files I´d like to include in my sig. Is it possible to use photoshop to convert the sig into a gif then copy and paste the gif I want into the sig?

Also, what about resizing the gif for an avatar? What free program can do that? It seemed photoshop couldn´t resize gifs.

I hope you can create something a little less sinister than the current product... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif

Photobucket has the option to resize animated gifs but i found the quality poor. I used gifworks.com but the site's tempermental (on my computer at least).

Hey Arnie, haven´t seen you for a long time. I´m in Mannheim now, just moved yesterday. I´ll be working here for a few months then maybe Berlin or K¶ln, who knows.

I´m thinking May/June for the beer and cheese, or was that cheese and beer? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

What´s your schedule like at that time?

Midgie, if I sent you a gif now would you be able to resize it for me? This is my buddy's pc and I don´t want to install anything without his permission.

Sorry, no can do, I'm on the works computer at the moment but gifworks is website based so you don't need to install anything just upload the gif to the website and then save the finished result.

I have a week off in the beginning of May. So it should be possible there in between the 2nd/3rd till 7th. Also having a long weekend from 25th till 28th of may. After that I wont have much free days untill July. But possiblities after 17 july are excellent then. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Did you happen to see the thread for gothic and fantasy art? A lot of nice work in there. I have about 100 more pics to post in that thread.

I'm a graphic designer amongst other things http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif if you need any help resizing or post working an image, let me know.

@Low_Flyer

That's awesome m8, superb SPITFIRE I wish I could model that and animate it.

the valkyrie looks good too

I bought some 3d models and I'm modifying them to look like ww2 caps:

here's the ORIGINAL models totally NOT made by me:

http://www.hrmex.com/schirmmutze1.jpg

and Here's the same model but with textures and aditional props made by me:

http://www.hrmex.com/schirmmutze2.jpg

I need help finding a HIRES samples of:

RAF Officer Cap
USAAF Officer Cap

especially a close up of the insignia on the cap and correct color

L-Flyer, I opened the site but the was nothing but a big white blank spot.

Thx for the Valkyrie though. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Waffen, I used the gifworks and it seemed to work fine. I´ll be making more sigs with much nicer and more eveil skeletons. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Waffen, my first job was graphi designer, only in those days we didn´t use computers. Everything was done by hand and stencil for fonts. It was a good chance for me but I was only 15 and didn´t know better.

I had dropped out of school at 14. My parents bought a house from Art Dollary (don´t know if you´ve heard of him). During one of their meetings Art saw some of my work laying in the corner. He asked who did it. I came home from hanging with a few buddies and my parents told me that I had a job offer and Art(who I hadn´t met at this time)wanted me to start on the following Monday. I worked with him for a few months designing logo and slogans and ads. It was cool but when summer hit I just couldn´t stay inside missing all the parties. I was stupid. I had an apprenticeship with one of the biggest names in the industry and I screwed it up. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I find it´s difficult to work with a computer regarding art. It´s just not the same as using pen or pencil.

So true...

Interesting story, truth be told I haven't heard of Art Dollary but I take it is very important in the industry.

Primarily I'm a programmer but I do managed to know how to use Photoshop, Illustrator, web-based Applications (flash) and sometimes I'm in charge of making the corporate image of our products (software: payroll, human res adm, production control, etc)

but I get what your talking when I was begining, sometimes I had to make adjustment to the negatives using a knife LOL Or using the actual Sun to burn negatives LOL

aww those were the days

The problem with using a pc for me is that creativity is too limited. Drawing from scratch is not an option for me. A mouse just doesn´t have the right feeling. I can alter or edit pics but then I have to find the right pic to begin with. That´s not so easy.

Yep, see my avatar. Nothing extraordinary, but it's an old theme of mine that I'm quite fond of.
P.S.: The star itself is my design too. Brag off http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
