I can only imagine the number of people who like me opened Vol 1 having read Vol 2 to think 'Where are the beautiful colour (Sundin drawn?) profiles?'....Those photos are quite 'smudgy'....Hey even the paper is quite cheap quality.
Glad I bought mine as an investment to sell on immediately after reading it (a scary experience -must be like that for those guys who work in museums on priceless manuscripts)Granted the reading was top notch but can any text justify that kinda money ?

Yes. Buy now, for Christmas.

In all honesty, I knew I was going to sell these for a long time and I've just never gotten around to it. Actually, my asking price is kinda cheap - both volumes, in virtually perfect condition. Hell, I've only opened them a couple of times.

Hate to look greedy, but the demand drives the price.

Why the high prices for them?

I mean, it's not like a first edition of "Seven Pillars of Wisdom".

Have I devalued mine by colouring them in with wax crayons? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Me, too. I've got a huge aviation book collection with many books that are hard to find and out of print. I'm thinking of selling them and buying some guns.

I'd like the 93 quid copy, but my coffers are low.

On a side note, I was in a local used book store when I ran across an old copy of "Seven Pillars of Wisdom" in excellent condition. I was thinking that I stumbled onto El Dorado as I reached for the book with greedy hands. As it turned out, the book was a Doubleday 1935 first edition printing. Kinda sorta close, but no kewpie doll.

I bought it for $20.00 even though it wasn't the 1926 private printing edition that I hoped it would be. Still, a good buy. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Dito, hehe. Do not intend to sell them, though. I am a book nuts. What comes in won't go out.

NO, they are now considered 'hacked' versions, of course.

Hehe .. back then I bought Vol I and II for 45 DM each (incl shipping). Good investment, I'd say. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Are those books 'incunabula', or what? For that price I can make Christer Bergström himself to come and read his book to me by my bed.

Sorry, Chimp, but my family would kill me, and with good reason. What would you do if your wife spent more than 500$ in a book about... kitchen furniture?

Indeed.

I use a pic of Lawrence on his Brough as my Avatar in the motorcycle forum I visit.

Actually I'm just jealous cuz I haven't got a copy of BC RS.

All I have by Bergstrom is 'Graf & Grislawski', which doesn't seem to have gone up in price at all.

I lowered the price. Now you can have Vol I and Vol II for one easy payment for $350. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Who knows, maybe they won't sell.
