View Full Version : Stick Settings Helppppppp

Maybe it's me but since the new 1.21 patch I cannot find a setting for my MS FF2 stick that works well. I need help with possible settings in the IL2 input area for flying the P-51 and my favored Jug. Every setting I ahve tried..even my old settings seems to put me into a stall no matter waht speed and how lightly I pull on the stick. does anyone have ideas or a setting that seems to work well for them? even FW 190 settings should work since it's all B&Z. Thanks in advance.

I don't know how to help you on this one, but I have the same problems using 2 different joysticks. One FF one not... There are some planes that I find to be almost unflyable because they will stall with the slightest movements of the stick. Even being very gentle with them leads to a stall. FW-190, P-51, and maybe a couple of the 109s I've had problems with.

Eagle that's exactly my problem. I have tried alot of different settings and nothing seems to help any at all. Does anyone else have this problem?? I didn't have this tho till 1.21.

When you say "settings" are you only referring to response curves? It sounds to me like you need a bit of deadband in your elevator axis, but perhaps not in your roll axis.

Hi Lamb,

this is what i use for the MS FFB2:

Force Feed Back level : High
Return to centre level: Medium

Range of motion: all 4 blocks just inside most inner gridline

in the control screen of the game under Input:

Pitch: 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 90, 100, 100
Yaw : 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 90, 100, 100

the rest i left standard.

The return ti centre force determines the force it uses to go back into the middle. This will force u to fight the stick more then the enemy in case of stalling with the plane.

I use above setts for all planes.

Just put that in your conf.ini file
After that go to http://www.wingmanteam.com/latest_software/gadgets.htm

And DL program called DXTweak2. With that program set your Y-axis so that you can pull the stick all the way back and go circles with your plane but it wont stall. ( you will need different settings for different planes )
