A picture in a book I am reading, text reads;

"An RAF mess steward fills a Spitfire's long-fuel tank with BEER for the Norwegian pilot of 331 (Norwegian) Sqn to fly to Allied troops in Norway from Grimbergen in October 1944".

I enjoy the fact that a ground crew member writes "Joy Juice XXX" on the fuel tank.

The barrels the mess steward fills from is marked with the letters "ISS PA", Do any of you know what it means.

Someone was drunk when they tried to label the fact that they took "A PISS".

I hope they cleaned out that fuel tank thoroughly before dumping beer in it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif
