hey, sorry people if this has already been done i searched and i couldn't find one.

will there be a noticable diffrence between summer and winter in the game?? because i am guessing you play Altiar for a full year, so will it go through the seasons??

Does the area in which this game takes place even have a noticeable winter?

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif dudes i dont think they have winter but do you get fatigued or anything like that

sortof like in oblivion http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Yeah, i dont realy think its a noticeable winter in Jerusalem...

07-06-2007, 05:31 PM
Its not a full year. The game takes place in the summer of 1191.

07-07-2007, 02:39 AM
oh...so you don't actualy play during the winter?? and i hopeyou dont get fatigued, that would be rubbish

07-07-2007, 03:02 AM
yes there is a noticable difference in wintertime. It gets very chilly. Though if you put on a sweater and some heavy jeans and move around a bit you should be fine. The guards just usually wear a black uniform in winter, and white in the summer. You do have fatigue. Thats why you cant keep on fighting forever against hordes of enimies. after awhile Altair gets tired and his blocks get sloppy and such. I'm also pretty sure you only play during the summer.

I dont think you can get fatigued from jumping or parkouring though, or at least I hope not. That would just be laaaame.

07-07-2007, 10:49 AM
Why would that be rubbish if you got tired after fighting a bunch of enemies? That's just realistic. If you want a fighting game that's unrealistic then get spiderman 3. Asassin's Creed has been touted for it's realism since the first day Jade started talking about it so I hope they hold true. I don't want a game that's realistic in 90% of the game and then have him have super human stamina/strength. That's just my own opinion though and everyone's entitled to their own. Oh and I think it would be good if you did become fatigued after parkouring/jumping but fatigued in the sense that you've done a lot of it. Not fatigued after a minute of hopping around, there are world class athletes that fatigue much slower than that.

I really doubt there's going to be winter in the game... I'm more interested about the day and night. And stuff like how long is one in-game hour and how would the cities change when it gets dark. Less common people, sure, but would there be like more shady people to be seen?

Yep, it's just too close to the equator.

I wonder if they have day/night. And not that some missions are always night and some always day.
Would be really cool; parkouring in the middle of the night under the light of some torches http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
But then they should make a system like in Morrowind (Elder Scrolls 3) that you can sleep at night, so you wont have to wait hours to get your target back on place.

sry chikken and mazena...but i remember in an interview with jade that during the story there wont be night/day, there will be a specific time period in which you carry out your mission, then the plot moves forward and so does time. im not sure though after you finish the game, that might be different.

AHHHH http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif
It would have been so realistic http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

07-08-2007, 03:58 AM
i hope that changes once you finish the game though...i really want time to change...imagine at night, the streets are close to being empty, save the few guards and a group of drunkards with their gossiping wives...that would be so coo http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gifl!!!!!!!!!!!!

07-08-2007, 04:22 AM
It would give me even more hours of gameplay, since I'd try to kill the guards without being noticed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
But there's no winter, sad enough. It would be pretty cool though. Kicking a fire pit into the crowd http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

We won't know for sure till we have the game and we're playing it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

the concept art of the assassins fortress has snow on it. i dont know if this means there is snow in the game but i hope there are some different environments and climates that you can roam around in

07-08-2007, 07:18 AM
It's high in the mountains. Probably so high that it has snow forever http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

07-08-2007, 10:06 AM
there is an interview where jade says so...cant remember which one though, if i find it ill post it. she does saythat its high in the mountains and i believe she does say that it is covered in snow.

but if it is then there might not be meny civilians/guards there cuz thats their hideout... just guess we'll have to wait and see!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

07-08-2007, 04:20 PM
Damn, u could like hide in the SNOW!!!http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

U could like make a snow angel, and then get a preist to cover you up in snowhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And then when the unsuspecting guard walks by, BAM!!

Evil DEADLY SNOWMAN!!!http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

07-08-2007, 09:50 PM
it would be cool if you could slide down the mountain. OMG i just found out the conspiricy in the game you invent skiing and snowboarding

i was also thinking that could altiar slip on something?? so say he was running around acting all cool and he fell off because it was raining or something??

07-10-2007, 07:17 AM
They won't do that. It would be some random thing, which is very annoying. Almost escaped, but the random-event killed you.

sounds like something a professional assassin would do :P slip cos it rains..

07-10-2007, 01:10 PM
lol, you never know :P he could be looking at something else, and not be concentrating and then 'woops'

07-10-2007, 03:47 PM
well i think fatigue would fail! yess it would be realistic and cool and actualy its needed but not from doing acrobatic tricks , like what can you do if you get overwhelmed (sorry if typed wrong) by a bunch of guards you keep trying to block untill you understand no use but you cant do anything about it because your to tired to run away from them , too tired to break the line of sight and they say its hard enough to escape the guards and if you could only run about a couple of building and then you must stop to rest , well that way you would never get away. well on the other hand it would be good and very realistic , but only if they would somehow get rid of the extremely annoying situations caused by this!

Fall would be awesome in Jerusalem.
