hey there

I just got the Saitek X52, and im very new to this game. I just payed and downloaded it today from UBIsoft. I figured out the hyperlobby and got it patched to 4.0.8m. Now my problem is i can figure out how to put controls on this joystick, when i click on IL2 1946 and go to controls it will recognize the joy sticks buttons but not the throttle or the " Roll right" " Elevate up" ect... I know theres a way to fix this im just not sure how, any help would be great.

thanks

Scroll down to the bottom of the 'controls' screen, there you will see a section called 'HOTAS' .That is where you assign your throttle, elevator, aeleron etc.

To add to JG52Uther's comment. Left click to the right of Elevator and a box will open up...then move your joystick in the appropriate direction.

Also go to www.mission4today.com (http://www.mission4today.com) and look for either il2sticks or il2 joycontrol so you can adjust the input curve of all axis.

Use the Saitek software to get the ultimate control though! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Go to the Saitek Uk forums for help and advice http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Also at Mission4Today is this article on Assiging controls (http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Knowledge_Base&op=show&kid=261#005) which includes screenshots of the game controls screen.

Hey Tully, just a reminder in your sig you have links to the ,dat files for X-45,52 I would like to point out that those are no longer compatible with the current software version. Since I bought a new Saitek product recently I had to re-program all of them to the newest version and alas there is no converter. However it does put all Saitek modules under "one roof" so to speak with a common interface. So to the new X-52 user
if you have the .pr0 version the programming will be the same but .dat files are not going to work unless you have the old software (still available) and no new Saitek products like the Cyborg Command Unit will work unless you have the current version, Just a Heads up! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
