u can go into control panel/game controllers/properties,and adjust the deadzone.
http://www.airwarfare.com/tech/sticks.htm. this site has some stick settings set up by others, that may help u. The X52 has light spring set,but in my opinion centers quite nicely, very smooth action. It took me a couple of hrs to get accustomed to light spring action.I don't like wrestling with my stick,so the light springgs http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif suit me just fine.

This is just of the top of my head but you could try making a couple of of 'c' shaped plastic 'shims' to slide under the base of the spring to increase tention?

Nice flying with yah over the weekend btw sorry about the team kill I realy will have to try not to get so excited when I see an aircraft in front of my pipper lol

Hope you get it sorted anyhow is that another rotary on the stick of the X52?

I've heard that the deadzone in the center of the stick can be pretty bad even after you change the values in the software, is there any validity to this?

You can't adjust the tension in the software. I've wrapped some rubber around the spring to stiffin to my liking, but will take a look at Rocks idea. It may work better for me.

Some people like me are having problems with too big a deadzone. Not sure if its wide spread. Support said it should be no bigger than 1/4 inch but mine was much larger. I opened the stick and slightly adjusted the Hall Sensors and got some improvement, but still not to my satisfaction.

Support has answered my emails but the Saitek On_line store has been ignoring them, so I don't recommend buying from them. Get an x52 from your local store, that you can return it to if there is a problem.
