Does anyone know how much extra ammo is added when you select EXTRA AMMUNITION on the P39 or P47?

Is it the whole nine yards plus two or three more or does the whole nine include extra ammo? Does it add a considerable amount of weight to the aircraft?

Anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller?

It's quite a bit.
I have a track of unloading a P-39 with extra ammo.
Didn't note any numbers though.

Neat site. But it states that the outboard 151/20 cannons in the 190a8 and a9 have 10 seconds worth of ammo. I thought it was more like seven.

I'll check tonight.

Twice as much. Just hold down the trigger, and count the seconds. On the P-39, it's only the .30's that's added.

ROGER THAT!!!

Thanks guys. However one question remains...

Where did they put all that ammo. If it is double the amount how is there enough space in the wings?

the pilot got a bag with the extra ammo for refilling during the mission. After some accidents there was an advice to land somewhere for refilling instead of doing it in flight. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

or short: of courese there was enough space in the wings
it was only a weight problem
