Not yet. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif Developers say it's done; UBI is practicing the normal information blackout.

Boo hiss...Disk won't be available in the stores here...so i'll be waiting even longer for it to be delivered after i've ordered it online...
If i've got to pay for it online...why can't I download it online like so much other software these days...

Coming out on disk? I hope they put 4.05 in there as well, otherwise this will force people to buy 4.05 only online and then go out and buy the disk for 4.06-4.07...strange marketing if they dont.

Good news about a hard copy version of 4.06-4.07!

my guess is that they'll add 4.05 on as well

I'd like to have the option of a downloaded version anyway. I wouldn't care if it was Boontyfied. I can deal with Boonty. It is just the download is like instant satisfaction, instead of trying to find it in stores and taking another two weeks.

But hopefully you'll see them soon. Since Oleg already spoke on sukhoi, I can tell you that both SoM and 46 will most likely be released simultaneously on a single CD / DVD.

However, anything / everything is subject to change without notice.

On disc? GREAT NEWS!! I MUCH prefer having a "hard copy". Forgive me, but my faith in Ubi's long-term support of PF after SOW's release is much less than it was.

It would be very strange not to have 4.05 included as well...

What Christmas?I thought Luthier said any day now.....If true this is very disheartining news. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

What's this expansion based on? Did the Reds fly Il-2s over China to help them against the Japanese? Did they sell or lend/lease Sturms to the Chinese themselves?

Just curious. Can't seem to find much information about the event(s) anywhere.

Christmas pretty much means it better ship soon. Delivering a product for sale during Christmas close to Christmas is really dumb, I'd expect a well done Christmas release to be on shelves in October or November at the latest.

Just curious. Can't seem to find much information about the event(s) anywhere. The Soviets, after spending 3 years playing hard to get, finally agree to declare war on the Empire of Japan in late summer 1945, realizing that there's bound to be some goodies to be had in Manchuria, not to mention the propaganda value useful for extending the world Socialist revolution.

So, after thwarting Japanese peace feelers in July, the USSR declares war after the US drops the A-Bomb on Hiroshima, pile-driving into and through the Japanese Kwantung Army in Northern China, snagging several islands taken during the Russo-Japanese war in the early 1900s, plus helping to establish a peace-loving People's Republic in the north half of Korea.

cheers

That was my estimate. If '46 isn't finished, plus the time for debugging and passing it on to Ubi to get around to putting it into production...

Honestly, I wouldn't expect anything before Christmas http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Surely we havent been eagerly waiting for months for a download of 46 and Manchuria which was never coming in the first place!?I guess the whole Boontybox thing messed the download option up......Shame cos it worked for me -until I had to do a reinstall-still got going again in the end -but wouldnt have fancied my chances of doing so in 2 or 3 years time...

Who told you it's never coming? Don't listen to rumors and please don't spread them. For pete's sake, Ubi just hasn't released it yet, and it seems to be because they'd like to put in on disc with potentially the '46 add-on. UbiSoft HAS the SoM add-on. They've had it for months

Not releasing the addon ultimately hurts them more than it hurts us since they can't make money from software we can't buy. So relax. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I guess the Russians were upset that it took the US 2 and a half years to launch a proper 2nd front in Europe.

Fair enough really.

They should put the Pe2 addon on the disc too. Have all 3 addons on one disc.

Are we sure it's our western version of the new patches that are going to be combined on disc? After reading the comments by Luthier, I was confused as to whether he was talking about the Russian market only, which would leave the West to get our patches by 2 separate d/ls.

There's a lot of confusion and rumors because there's hardly any indication of what is really going on anywhere official. Anyone not stuck in this little message board community universe has no idea 4.06 and 4.07 even exist, I doubt they even know about pe-2 and I'm talking about people who own this sim.

To even have an inkling of what was going on prior to the sept 11 update at RRG that got stickied in the top required digging through several months of posts...some from semi-official sources that turned out to be inaccurate. We first heard of getting the add-on 'soon' around june.

I don't blame anyone, things happen, there's miscommunication, and sometimes too much excitement and anticipation, even from the developers...but no one in the know ever decided to tell anyone for months and you're basically asking for confusion if you're too busy, embarrassed or out of the loop to say anything.

If your not scanning the message board everyday, you're basically lost as far as whether SOM and '46 will be released or not. I don't blame him. Until the add-on is in my hands, why believe it will be released at all, considering what we haven't been told? If Ubi gets a hair in the right place, guess what? no add=on.

yes - thats why official information is so sought after...and why there is some frustration at the way 'news' is passed around in this little bucket.

Who said anything about Russian market only? These add-ons are for everyone. Originally, way back when, Pe-2 was supposed to be for the Russian market

Who said anything about '46 and SoM being for the Russian market? No-one as far as I know, plus the quote I gave is not from Luthier, It's from Ian Boys- and he's in the UK, not Russia

Seems to me that you're confusing an old, old story about Pe-2 with what's going on here
