but I cant find it.

If we looks away for the screen card type and the creen and what are the IL2 designed for to give the apsolute best resolution and the sharped picetures.

It was designed to be best viewed at 1024 x 768.

If you have the space and the budget, go with a 7.5' x 10' fastfold screen and an SXVGA projector, DLP or LCD doesn't matter much, flown from a ceiling bracket. With your seat about 4 or 5 feet from the screen, just far enough away to not silhouette the projection, the image fills your entire field of view. Doesn't get any more immersive than that without seat of the pants feel. Can actually make you a little woozy during violent maneuvering - something about the information from your inner ear not correlating with your vision...

I get the W - I - D - E experience for just $2.00... a pair of 3.5 diopter reading glasses! I have my 19" CRT on a stand which puts the screen centre in direct line with my eyes, and at a distance of only about 1 foot. The glasses bring the view into comfortable focus, and the apparent horizontal view angle is 80-90 degrees... at 1600x1200!!!

When flying with the widest, 90 degree FOV, the view I get is almost exactly at true scale. And as you point out, hard maneuvering, particularly low over a big city, can make ya woozy.

Samsung 20" Widescreen running in 1680x1050 is superb. Once you got wide you dont go back. See this thread as its being discussed at the moment and I posted some screens there. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/6321053395

I fly no icon settings for the most part and see dots and can ID planes better then most and the game looks so much better. I ran 1024x768 for a few years and it looks like **** compared to high res.

For me, a Philips 19" @ 1600x1200.
