Went to the "Deutsches Museum Flugwerft Schleißheim" in Oberschleißheim many months ago, but only got around to sorting out all the pictures now. As usual, they'll be shown in parts with roughly 40 pictures per thread (the max. Photobucket / Imageshack can seem to handle per thread on my computer...). Enjoy! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oh, and if anyone wants some of the original sized pictures, email me at ( cawimmer 430 @ yahoo . com ) and make sure the title addresses me and doesn't sound like spam!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Man I hope this thread doesn't get locked! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Horten IV. The description placard was in German (no English available for some reason). Basically, this glider aircraft was built a total of four time between 1941-1943. It was one of the most advanced gliders of its time and it could fly at speeds as low as 32 km/h and 77 km/h.

Great stuff. That Fokker is a classic, eh? I love the camo scheme. Poor Herbert Muller, builds his own aircraft and his wife wont let him fly it. He must REALLY love her. Thanks for posting.

I used to live just outside of Toronto and every night, at roughly the same time, an old DC-3 would fly over my flat. It was music to my ears and still one of my favorite planes.

Well, when we reach IL-2 1970, I hope that skin is included. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Thanks again Christian. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

BTW, Brems will love this thread. He's into gliders.

I would love to have some photography lessons from you sir. How do you manage to get such clear shots with no shadows or glare?

I like seeing the VW aircooled Type 1 engine in the red homemade DDMH 22. Be neat to see the installation.

One way is long exposures on a tripod with a remote trigger and mirror lock up like I did here:

There seems something wrong with the Lightning props as well as the G-6 spinner and prop looking somewhat strange. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

As said above they are just big toys, not real fighters http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

(Look, BF without slats, my goodness, that can't be serious http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif )

Hi Blairgowrie,

Thanks for the compliment! I'm just an amateur as well when it comes to photography. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

NAFP_supah had a useful comment. If your camera has a D-Lighting option that might be help too. I generally played around with the flash settings too. In some cases you want to use a weak flash as to prevent too much glare. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oh, one thing that really works is trying to photograph the subject from another angle where the sunlight etc. can't really affect your picture. If you're photographing against sunlight, use flash. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Great stuff except for the Me-109 model. It's awful.
