I'm sure this has been reported, but i'll do it again anyway.

All the 109 rudders are in trim (ball centered), except the K4.

I have noticed oddities with FW190A4 (probably others as well) rudder trim as well.

When flying online or off the ball is normally centered, or very close to centered.

But when I am flying a campaign I find the ball is well off center. I suspect this is just a guage error and that it is associated with engaging autopilot, as when I use rudder to center the ball it feels like the plane is yawing alot.

I doubt that the K4 rudder is a bug as the K4 is the only 109 with rudder trim.

Ok, I feel stupid. As long as i've been flying the K4. I never tried to trim the rudder on it. I assumed all 109's had no rudder trim.

Never mind Oleg. I'm an idiot../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

LOL BuzzU - You aren't the idiot /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif , the K-4 (IIRC) never had rudder trim - IRL not FB.

I have noticed it is off centre too, so it should be classed as a "bug". The K-4 having rudder trim is also a bug - I believe this has been addressed in the patch.

The rudder trim I mean, not the off centre ball /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The K4 did have rudder trim in real life, as well as in the sim.

The rest of the 109s and the Focke-Wulfs don't, but the ground adjustable trim tabs are modelled in the game and are set so that the ball is centered at cruising speed.

One little bug that you might have noticed in the single player game is that when you activate auto-pilot, then deactivate it, the preset trim tab settings are completely reset. So when this happens, with the 109s and the 190s you have to hold right rudder while you cruise to prevent side-slip.

Sorry but there is no in-flight trim on the historical K-4, just a fletner tab and sometimes a couple of static trim.

Butch is right as always, however a feature to let the player adjust the critical Trim airspeed on the ground would be most welcome.

I dont think it would be hard to implement, ie. it was solved that some planes could only start their engines in the airfield.

Right - it looks like a trim rudder, but it's just a Flettner which eases control pressure needed to control the plane at high speeds. BTW I don't notice it's rudder beeing any better than the other 109s' rudders.
