(The main event is about 4 minutes into the track)

Dreyer, I have watched tracks of you flying in the past. I was pointed to your site by a friend.

I salute you sir, you are one fine pilot.

Well nice. 25% fuel brings quick end to Spitfire Mk.9.

Hmmm, I'm trying to use less rudder (and aileron, and elevator) when firing, not more. Since 4.00 my nose wanders all over the place, creating much more 'spray'. I have to make sure I'm flying absolutely straight before firing. Still, I'll download the track and take at look. Thanks.

Not sure what was good about it?, except for the landing without rudder that is. And god very annoying hat switch usage there!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Nice landing but don't get the ''Can't hit your target?''

I sometimes use my wings to hit the target, not as smart but equally effective http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It was supposed to be a joke.

Unable to hit your target? Use your rudder!

Get it? No, k.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

OK, this is not a bad joke! Quite funny, once you've seen the track!
That it was taken seriously and that people missed the joke perhaps illustrates that some of us are having big problems getting good hits now with noses wandering all over the place? I don't think it was a reflection of your humour.

I find that if I fire with any control input applied, the nose swings wildly and the shots miss. So most of my shots now are from dead six with the control centred *if* the enemy decides to straighten up for a few seconds. Leading shots in a turn is now very ineffective for me (whereas I used to be quite good in version 3.x).

Really? I honestly can't say I notice any difference in my aim from previous patches. Though, of course, I have a very short term memory and tend to simply adapt to the changes before I even notice what has changed.

As far as I can remember, to produce a stable firing platform you are best left using your controls as little as possible, it has always been that way. I am still able to draw out deflection shots using laat minute control input corrections, however.

Hehe http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

BTW, I don't use Hatswitch but the Keypad.

I've purchased Track IR 4, it's on its way. Should have it in a few days. I have my doubts on if TR4 will be better than the keypad, however. But it certainly will produce more comfertable tracks.

I guess you don't got a hotas setup then when using the keypad.
Having a free hand with trackIR is good enough already.

I'm actually not certain. I'll have to check when I get back home.

I know I used to have every of those input boxes at '100'. I think I still might use those settings.

Edit:

I found my .cfg from a year back (don't think I've changed it lately)
