We were promised the patch in April, no dice. I didn't complain. "One more month, towards the end of May" they said. Another no show but still I bit my lip and bore it. "It'll be ready when it's ready", "expect it in June" was now the tune. Again, I waited but nothing came out. By now I was stretching the limits of my endurance but somehow still managed not to moan about the absence of the patch.

Now, I find that a beta-tester has leaked the patch. So, not only have I waited for what seems like a hundred years, but it ended up being leaked to Joe Public (minus yours truly) afterall! To the beta-tester in question, you better not wander across my fender coz I'll squash you like the bug that you are! I'm even keeping it rusty for added punch you arsewipe! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

[calm now]

So when's the patch due?

Have some patience!!! I personally would rather wait for the patch and have it be a major improvement than have it rushed and incomplete, or worse, full of new bugs. Have some confidence that Oleg is working to give us the best sim possible.

This is why I don‚°‚¬¶t posting here very much anymore.

The self-importance of some individuals defies belief- a sure sign that their lives are sadly devoid of intellectual and physical stimulation. Try and find a life Jet buff.

We are all getting impatient because we have some expectations. However, FB is still a very enjoyable game. Don't forget that.

And one thing I don't understand. Why such a fuss about the leak? Its a beta, alpha, or pre-alpha so God knows how close it is to the released patch. And if it is identical to the final patch does it really matter? We will all get it for *free* in the end.

Skinns, while I'm in the process of finding a life, I propose you go out and find a sense of humour.

Dunno myself. I thought the "miffed", [rant] tags and car fender references would be a dead giveaway to the humorous nature of my post. Apparently I overestimated the intelligence of some. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I just successfully landed my BF109F4 back at my home base following a successful mission and the campaign has informed me that a) "You've been captured", and b) that my campaign ended after this first mission.

Sure, FB is fun but I paid $70 CDN for a game that worked and got this.

Download a 3rd Party campaign.

Products like FB are really just the basic. Its the enthusiast that make FB into something usable for the
masses.

Or, start using FB Mission Editor and make your own missions. I am working on an all day mission, and I may have to split it into a number of sub~missions, and make a program to read the event file to calculate the next sub~mission file.

I gotta decide on a winter or summer all day mission. Winter days in FB are about 8 hours long. Summer days, 14 hours. With proper map selection, I can keep air times short, and so have maybe 50 aircraft in combat over one small area at one time. This means maybe 500+ aircraft flights in one day. This is what Eastern Front simulation should be.

I never tried a canned FB campaign, and you see why I have no desire to. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
