can anyone explain the panel on the printed map (bottom left) titled allied convoys?

i dont understand them, are they grid references?

For example:

OA: 1939-1940

Whats it mean?

nah its just a code that they used to designate different convoy types. For example, alot of them relate to where the convoy sails to and from, and some represent the speed of the convoy (SCs were generally slow convoys, HX sail from Halifax, for example).

So is there a definition of the codes somewhere?

Take a look along the convoy route lines themselves. You'll find the same convoy designations that are on the chart. You can use this information to see when that particular convoy route is in use.

I don't know, you'd have to google it. sorry but I'm too tired to find out myself... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

it ain't that important anyway for the game, as Bane says, it tells you what convoys are sailing along the route lines on the map. just reference it to the year.
