Knowing that he lives in Leicester, thats most likely! I just hope he doesn't come from near the Groby area as that's well known for aliens (known as local people) and weird clart. I once lived there for a year and noticed that the locals walked with a limp. I came up with the Groby Curse at work (I work there!) and pointed the fact out to people I worked with.

6 months after I moved from Groby, I was cycling home and got knocked of my bike by a white Fiat Panda in Groby and ended up with an badly shattered ankle. I now walk with a limp, so in the end the Groby Curse got me as well!!!!

So remember people, never mock places like Groby as one day you may end up like the locals as well. BTW, I'm down the Stamford Arms to-night, so please come and say Hi to the drunk with the limp, talking about Aliens and how over modeled the UFO's in FB are. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I wouldn't blame him for it. That game is a must. He'll surely make some epic art about it... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Ok, guys. I appreciate your words. Sometimes it`s nice to take a little rest from the forums and go for a walk, by a river... on a sunny day... with a nice girl...

Anyway, I`ll have my site revamped with more pics quite soon. Thanx for your concerns.

Thnx.

I had a look at that thread and some of it has a point. Sometimes the whines do annoy me a bit and a rest from it is nice. It`s especially bad in the Holiday/vacation season.

Equally interesting is that I HAVE been doing a run on Rome Total War as well as Monty_Thrud said! As a lot of you know the ancient world/fantasy is also an interest of mine.

Hmmm, who is Monty_Thrud? I must find out! (Searching for spy... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

DId you know in the uk we have a TV series on what you would call prime time where they put several people in a situation with a map board and a wacking great screen, 2 play the generals and a couple play the field commanders and they replay a historical battles from Eygpt, Rome etc and they use the Rome Total War engine modified to produce the graphics, its actually an interesting programme and normally ends up with the contestents getting there asses whooped http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif not been on lately but i watched all of the episodes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yep. Time Commanders, I think there`s another one in the US now. Interestingly, the engine used in the actual strategy game is even better than the TV programme!

I don`t want to go on too much about RTW, but the 3D graphics and animation are amazing. I`ve had 3000 + troops on a field fighting a near enough equal number, but the real amazement is when you go up real close you can actual watch each soldier having his little battle with n enemy soldier.

I do find RTW to be a little unrealistic fast, so i`m using a `realism` mod that slows men to realistic movement levels over certain terrain. Thankfully, RTW has been designed so it`s quite easily modable.

It`s got a few AI bugs, which will will be fixed up with a patch hopefully, but it doesn`t take away from the immersiveness of an amazing game.
