Yes they had the Blue Angels, however the Blue Angels were not able to complete their high altitude performances due to bad weather on saturday. However, today they will, the weather looks better for today.

I'm orginally from Boston, now I live in FLorida. I'm here for vacation.

Aren't the 6 bladed props on the C-130's used for weather reporting purposes? The reason I ask becuase when I was at Keesler AFB, MS they had C-130J's from the Hurricane Hunters, with the same props. Does that NG unit have the same mission?

Not anymore, those props tend to chip apart in weather....not a good thing. I think the Air Force unit that flew into hurricains cancelled all their J model orders. We are testing J models right now for our own uses and hopefully we'll send them back to Lockheed and get some more H models instead. I really really like the new cargo roller/rail system they have, the fact that you don't have to dress the props , but just from the little I have heard, there are alot of things that doesn't sound very promising about the J model.
