I read somewhere (see Dr. Google) that a parameter can be set to one in the conf.in: UseParkedPlanes=1.
This seems to be strngly recommended by JustFlight for the last Battle over Europ campaign, and is recommended by other campaign designers, but for some maps or campaigns only.
Does any-one know what is the exact effect of this parameter on the DGen.exe file? is it effective for Ngen too?

I'd guess that it allows the campaign generator to add static airplanes to the field to increase immersion. If that't the guess I guess you wouldn't want to use it in static campaigns where the author has already added static aircraft because they might conflict and you wouldn't want to add it to missions with a lot of objects, planes, etc. beacause it could reduce performance. Just a guess.

Actually, the line should be:

UsePorkedPlanes=1

This is a built-in skill equalizer that allows Aces to fly only porked aircraft and give that noob a fighting chance. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

If this parameter is set in the conf.ini, the player will start from bases where the campaign designer has placed a static plane at that base.

For example, we want the British Hurricane II.B's to start only from Vayenga in the Murmansk campaign, not from a random Red base. If the campaign designer places static aircraft of that type on that base and nowhere else, the all Hurricane II.B flights will be generated from there.

U.P.P. is on by default for the Ostfront DGens (Murmansk and Kurland), off by default for other maps.

There are many things you can do with it btw. In Kurland I used it so that the Fw-190's withdraw across the north of the map into the Kurland pocket as the months go by whereas the Bf-109's of JG51 withdraw towards Poland.

That all depends on which side you are flying, Leadspitter. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
