The same user appears to have a wide variety of other interesting movies covering a variety of subjects, including another series on the Corsair...

He also has a German documentary series on the Fw-190. Now I just need a translator...

I'm surprised at the mistake he made during the walk around. The small plexiglass panel on the starboard wing next to the wing fold joint is not the landing indicator light, it's the gun camera port. The landing indicator light is on the port wing. Great vids!

I was actually surprised by the engine sound in the cockpit, not near as pronounced as one would think. Oh, and 6DOF or not the rear view still would suck. Even if you plant your face against the canopy you would not be able to see shat! Pretty accurately displayed in our sim.

Your sure about this? Hmm I think I will go with the pilot until you show me some evidence. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

According to this (http://www.f4ucorsair.com/tdata/leftwing.htm) blueprint, the port wing window at the joint is a "approach light". The same site has a blueprint for the starboard wing, but there seems to be no item on the wing root for either a light or a guncam. Mind you, these blueprints are for F4U-1, and I have no idea on the specifics of the later marks.

Thanks for the videos!

Nice blue print! All production Corsairs had the approach light in the port wing, the light was activated when the tail hook was lowered. All production Corsairs had the gun camera in the starboard wing. And yes, I'm absolutely, positively certain of this information.
