That is AWESOME!
I would love to have a bottle of each and compare it to the stuff I've got lying around.
I wonder how much they will sell for?

What a great find. Hope it is still in good shape. My mouth is watering at the thought.

Apparently there's still edible food at R.F. Scott's camp.

One of the articles I read on this was that the company was going to try & analyze the stuff to try & reproduce it.

@raaaid -> I've got a bottle of Vo Gold & a bottle of vodka in the fridge now. They've been in there a couple of months now. I've kept a bottle of vodka in the freezer for about 3 months without any problems.

I used to keep gin in the freezer, it never froze. It was at -18*c.

Bottles only break when the contents expand due to freezing (crystalisation). Pure ethanol freezes at about -114c. And this is before scotch was standardised to 40% ABV, so it might even be stronger. So the whisky or alcohol will not freeze unless enviroment is significantly colder than a freezer. I am no chemist, so I cannot estimate the temperature.
All I worry about is how do I get a taste of that magnificent liquid!

Great find. That must be smooth like oil now. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif
As we speak I have a bottle of Chivas and some Remy Martin XO in the freezer. You don't need ice cubes this way. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I just picked up a few more bottles of some spirits today and one of the was the peppermint schnapps.
One of my sons was looking at it and he said "Wow, this is 50% alcohol?"
I said no, that schnapps is 15%.
I looked at it and he was right.
I took a good swig of that.
That is some good stuff.
Then I put a little in my hot chocolate. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Raaaid, no offense, but your lack of knowledge about freezing temperatures of hard liquors like whiskey, is kind of ironic, considering your otherwise amazing expertise on quantum and Einsteinian physics.
