I don't think so. The Americans and the Canadians will argue over who makes better syrup and the French will declare that pancakes are just overmodelled crepes.

Well the trees make the syrup, so if my Northern neighbors want to pretend they make it, my advice to them is to watch out for Dutch Elm disease and check the jockey shorts for pine needles at least twice a day
