Thought a thread about how we found Avatar and ended up on this forum would be nice http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I only discovered the game about half a year ago. Had been browsing BBC a bit since I needed some quick material for a youth magazine/webpage I work for, stumbled across an article about a project which developed a film and a game at the same time. Upon reading a bit more about it I decided the story intrigued me, wrote 2 articles about the film and the game and have been keeping my eyes out for Avatar ever since.

This forum I only discovered a few days ago. I've been travelling with a music group I'm in and preparing for taking up studying again, so it wasn't before then I had the time to enter old territory again and see what had happened while I was gone. To my pleasant surprise I saw an Avatar forum had materialised and decided to join in on the discussion http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

i found out avatar on the xbox 360 while searching for free demos and game clips to download.

then wolah ! avatar's name popped up and it reminded me about the MUD ( multi user dimension ) i played about over 14 years ago also called avatar.

then after watching the film clip of avatar, and the game.... i knew i was hooked.

Well I've been keeping an eye on this forum since its creation, and waiting for more details to emerge. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

I even watched Cameron's seemingly endless talk on the E3 video link, and was disappointed to see he managed to talk for so long, while revealing so little. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I just picked up the nvidia vision bundle (glasses and samsung 2233 syncmaster)+ bfg 250 oc graphics card and was looking for 3d movies. This is the first (i know of) that is recently made for steroscopic 3d, then read about the game which is also 3d steroscopic. Now here i am.............waiting. PS steroscopic 3D is UNREAL, you'll never go back!!!
