I can't wait to get home. I need to try this patch. If I can finally finish my favorite IPs newest title I will be extremely happy.

Any info on a release for this patch? I just completed the machine gun mission as part of the story and finished chapter four but I received neither of the two story-related trophies. I tried the game data utility purge and reinstalling it again before updating to the latest patch but it has not worked.

I do not want to play anymore of the game if there is no guarantee that my trophies will unlock. Also, if a patch is ever released will I have to start a new game, replay the missing chapters or will they just unlock?

Playing on PS3 in the UK.

Thanks very much for the update, 2+ weeks ago I found the infamous tunnel glitch and have waited patiently for the fix.

I'm on the east coast of the US with a PS3 and there's no prompt to install the update at all.

i turned on the game today and another update! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif it says that its failed and it gave me a status code! any ideas?

another problem with the update for me, i was playing, the update pops up, i download it, the game restart. thanks god there's no loop...

If anyone is having issue's with the new update - please contact Ubisoft Support.

There is a known issue were profile sets and persona's may be reset - and they are working on that issue as we speak.

For all other issues, it's very important that people report those issues direct to Ubisoft Support.

I reported my problem to Ubisoft support. Hoepfully they have an answer other than contact Xbox Live support because otherwise this will be a never ending goosechase. I'll post here once i get a reply.

Yeah this is ridiculous. I just started playing online after last night's glitch, and now this happens.

the same thing is happening to me, was HAPPILY playing for a few hours, then update popped up done the update restarted the game. Then tried to play multiplayer said i had to sign in did then i got disconnected, went back to test connection everything up and running tried again no update message this time, but was disconnected again went back to dashboard where magically i was automattically reconnected.
This is simply an issue that has to be resolved after all i paid for the game, paid for my xbox live subscription when i could play for free on ps3. i knew i should have got it on ps3 !!!!

It is pretty frustrating, i hope something gets done about it soon, though knowing my luck it won't be today. Today is the only day i have off all week and i was really hoping to get a little nearer to my 50 in multiplayer.

Just to confirm - Ubisoft and Microsoft are working on the reported issue experienced by some users.


Can I please ask people to report the issue directly to Ubisoft Support and to also check the name of the Title Update you have downloaded.

You can find info onthe update from your console - goto &gt; My Xbox &gt; System Settings &gt; Memory &gt; Hard Drive &gt; Games &gt; Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

If you have 'Title Update 5' - please make sure to state that if you contact Support.

how do you know its their fault? it is most likely server issues, and this is more Microsofts fault than UBIs and to have your first post on here to moan and say you are selling your game, well thats not going to get you anywhere!

to be honest, i feel the same way i only got the game friday and been down 2 days out of 5 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif not very good is it, dont often see COD servers down 2 days on the spin....

Ofcourse not that easy Mark, but you would perhaps think they may be able to 'roll back' as it were to when things were working just fine until they iron out the bugs they have been made aware of.

Yeah I'm having the same problems as well, it was woring last night after 21:00 UK. But this afteroon it asked to update again and now it wont let me connect to x-box live while playing the game.

Hope this gets sorted soon as I'm close to completing the story mode and will want to be playing multi-player. Plus I've lost my legacy linking for now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

I have let Ubisoft support know but I'm not holding out hope atm.

Wow! To all the people posting that this is Microsoft's fault: Do you not find it mildly coincidental that on day one the patch is a complete and utter shambles and then on day two you can update but get booted out of Live when trying to connect to the multiplayer section of the same game??? Every other game in my collection runs fine. No problems with Xbox Live. This is Ubisoft's problem and they need to solve it ASAP.

P.S. While your fixing this problem do you think you can get rid of the screen-tearing that has plagued Ubisoft games for as long as I can remember? Then you've got a pretty perfect game on your hands...

It's bizarre how many companies act all clandestine when something goes wrong with their tech (this is not just related to the games industry). If they're just honest and open about it to us, the consumer, then everyone would be happy to just wait and simmer down.

But the second they recede into their shell and clam up they deservedly incite the fury of the fans. And that is a powerful thing.

Yeah my mates jus told me bout the update, so i went on it and what do ya know.... get disconnected, Assassins creed is my life haha but true it is and if the update prevents me from playin online i wont sell it but i'll get really annoyed coz why is it that you get disconnected coz i wouldnt mind the multiplayer bein down but bein disconnected completely! cant even talk to your mates http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif im sorry but thats jus outta order. please ubisoft and microsoft can you get the game back up to speed please!

Once the issue is corrected - you should not need to delete anything,hopefully, so please just bare with us and Microsoft while they sort the issue.

There are various threads scattered about - all of which I have tried to keep upto date, however new post's may have pushed the post's in the to background..

I or another member of staff will try to update you all asap something happens.

i think its more the content of the "update" IE saying "its being looked at" isnt an update i expect that and know already that it would be looked at.

In all fairness its not your fault and Ubisoft dont want this to happen nor did they plan it, what is frustrating is its 2 days in a row which i think very poor service.

Exactly and if they didnt want important messages being lost they they should of made a sticky for the time being. The only important message ive seen is were looking in to it. Im sorry but these excuses and finger pointing at the community is doing my head in

If you're going to say to go into the mutiplayer, configure the sets and then go to the single player and wait till it saves and then get bak into the multiplayer and it will be saved i will say it doesn't work!

I thought that was already out, either that or my xbox has the tendency to download DLC from the future.

Why do i get the feeling the DLC wont be an issue for USA today.

no thats not out yet mate, it was version 1.0 that was out, the new one will be soon with a new game mode i think although i havent read too much about it.

I downloaded what I thought was the 2.0 update earlier today; I quickly discovered that in my excitement I'd actually just downloaded a trailer for it.

My comment was a generalisation on those that don't update users. In this case Ubisoft has been quite rapid with responses. I was kind of fighting your corner.

No its not fixed, it asked me to download it once, it failed and i'm perminelty signed out of xbox live whilst playing it, so no online which is very frustrating

Now this is frustrating!! i payed to play this game! an now the looping update is fixed im permanently signed out from live!!! everytime i try to sign in i get a error, i go to dashboard boom back signed in workin fine, only when i load assassins creed up it disconnects me, same as it did when it was stuck on looping update, considerin how much this game cost i think our (the customers) opinion should be very important, please get this fixed asap.

I was experiencing the endless loop problem yesterday afternoon so turned off. When I got home last night I was able to log on and play one game (I wanted to play another but gave up waiting for a game after 10 minutes).

Logged on today and it asked me to install another update which is now giving me the same problems others have just reported - unable to connect to xbox live. I think this may be a new issue rather than a variation of yesterday's. Very annoying!

i cant spell IGNorance without IGN like many other companies and im starting to think that Ubisoft is paying more attention to the 360 rather than on the PS3.
Why the 360 has to be more important only because it is an American console?

Anyone else with a PS3 have a problem? Still haven't been prompted to download an update though I just popped in Uncharted 2 and got the update prompt for that. Ubisoft support simply says to call Sony customer service which currently has a 15 minute hold time.

Hi, I finished assassins creed brotherhood and have gotten nearly all uplay unit points available. Unfortunately, when i start up the game now, it disconnects me from xbox live and comes up with a notice saying that I have to download the update for this game or I will be signed out of xbox live. I agree and press download, it then loads and appears to have worked, but then the message comes up again, telling me that there is an update. It is stuck in a loop with this, and won't let me access xbox live because of it, (and consequentially uplay). Not only that, but now it has simply started logging me out when I start playing, this is happening to a lot of players and I was wondering if anything is going to be done about it since the update seems to be bugged.

The update issues should now be resolved.


For people concerned about not having the correct patch - the update is available world wide now, however it may have been released in December in your region - It was released in stages in some regions /consoles so you may already have it.

If you can connect and play multiplayer on the new Animus 2.0 update - you have all of the required updates.

All consoles should prompt you when and if new updates are available.

I hope they make it so it gives you the trophies you didn't get by reading your game save instead of having to start all over again(which i probably won't bother if thats the case). This was my favorite game and now i've stopped playing it until these issues are fixed because i don't want to waste my time and have me get stuck at the end or not get my trophies. I really wanted to get all of them like i did on AC2 and i was really disappointed when i would spend hours playing expecting to get a trophy and it not pop up.

make sure to fix the loadout glitch :P
whenever i switch loadouts that have different abilities, my new abilities still have a countdown. for example:
loadout 1: player used both abilities: disguise and smokebomb, countdown on both abilities have started

loadout 2: player used morph and decoy both abilities have a countdown

Just for information.

The "fix" for the unsaved profiles has not worked for me (PS3)
Also, i am finding that any abilities i use when i die are still running when i respawn. For example, i used disguise, was killed instantly, but the game thought it was still in use when i respawned. this stopped the ability from cooling down, and also prevented my compass from working until after the ability had worn off

Soo.....

Bought this game on release, played through single-player, enjoyed the crap out of it, never had a problem with trophies popping (I'm not sure if I avoided updating or not, but I know I did eventually play some MP).

Got caught up in several others games that came out in the last 2 months, and tonight decided to pick up and play some more MP and clean up the rest of the SP trophies. Did the 1.04 update, new DLC, etc. Started with one of the Romulus shrines, and naturally the trophy didn't pop. I jump on here and see that the new update was supposed to fix that.

I'm unable to get the achievement Fly like an Eagle. Forgive me if there's a solution somewhere in the midst of all 17 pages of the thread, but I've tried a couple of times to get it now and it won't process. Doing everything right, have reloaded sequence 8 memory 2, jumped off the top flag pole etc etc.. Is it still not working for anyone else? I have all recent updates etc!

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You have to jump off with the parachute, you can get it by completing all Leonardo's War Machine missions.

Oh, I have the parachutes and everything! Game is finished! Just can't seem to activate the achievement.. I've looked it up on youtube and everything and I'm doing it the exact same way but it won't give me the achievement! :/

Don't hold your breath on a solution anytime soon. I've had the same problem as you two, so I contacted Ubisoft. They had me messing about with my network and my game data, and still it doesn't work - now they just ignore me.

God help them, I am THIS far from calling them up and getting a refund because half their game doesn't work. They better get a patch soon or I'm never buying a Ubisoft product again.

I'm going to add something here...

As someone who's had tickets "go missing" and appear to be ignored, sometimes it's worth creating a new ticket with the old incident number in it to get them looking at it again.

Also, I've learned the hard way, even if you have ample reason (like 3 - 6 months without a straight answer), being obvious about your frustration might get them to ignore you because "they're under no obligation to help when you're swearing, abusive and/or aggressive" - so try and type in calm, friendly words even while they're making you want to tear their throats out.

I downloaded the Da Vinci disappearance for my xbox360 but I cannot play it as my xbox tells me I need a title update from xbox live first. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I contacted ubisoft technical support over a week ago but have had no response yet about how to obtain this update. As you can imagine it's very frustrating having spent my points on something I cannot use. I keep hoping I'll pop the game in and it will tell me an update is available and the problem will solve itself - but it hasn't happened so far. Is it ever likely to?
