I'm not sure if this problem is caused by my machine or by the patch.

Can anyone confirm this either way, please?

IF you are using 32 sounds in sound menu, switch it to 16 menu.. Also disable extensions (or "Hardware" in IL-2 setup)

I had the same prob with the AI chatter and gun sounds.

Tnks for the info bro, going back to 16bit fixed everything right up, /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Thanks for your suggestion. Despite the changes, still no chatter and the sound became tinny and flat. In the end, the fix was simple, dump the Audigy2 sound card and reinstall the Fortissimo card. EAX2 seems to be problematic for IL2FB.

Weird, I got an Audigy2 and I have pilot chatter with 16 channels and 32 channels.

I have Hercules GameTheater XP 8.1, and with 32 channels randomly I loose my AI voices.. with 16 sounds never..

I have Audigy and sometimes I get the AI talking sometimes not... like if I ask for vector to home base sometimes I get response sometimes not (in default QMB by the way).

I have Standard hardware acceleration on, 32 channels, Minimal 3D engine mode and 22KHz sampling rate. All sound extensions in conf.ini enabled.

i had the same problem after applying hunters conf.ini sound section settings... i used my backup conf.ini from V1.1 and the voices are back, and the gun sounds are not unsynchronised with the trigger as before
