I just bought FB. Where is there information on the effectiveness of the weapons? I don't know what any of these weapons are, and don't want to waste time trying to blow up tanks with the wrong ordinance.

Also, are targets like tanks more vunerable to cannon fire from behind where the armor is thinner?

If you want info on armament look in 'object viewer' or search for it in the net.

BTW don`t try to blow up tanks using Ju87G.It has wrong type of ammo which will be fixed with the patch.

I have used 20mm and 0.50´s with great results at tanks, tho from above rear.Any general purpose bomb will do the work to,and rockets...just aim and fire, preferably, from the rear.Do some QMB flights and try things out. That is what I did.

Mudmovers.com... they've got a great section describing the different weapons in FB, and a list of which aircraft carry which weapons!

As a rule of thumb, don`t waste your ammo on anything but the most fragile looking tank or tankettes. Aircraft cannons are simply not designed to deal with them. There are only a few exceptions, 3.7cm cannons of the Il-2 and Stuka, and the Monster YaKs (9T and 9K). The MK103 pods of the 190 (should) can also make so decent damage. But even those are not good against a real man`s tank.

Yep, and also their top is their most vulnerable point, where armor is the thinnest. Sides are also good aiming points, the armor is thinner, and it`s easier to hit.

If noted tank is a Tiger ..don't waste your cannon ammo .. take em out with the .50's

it was possible to bounce the rounds off the mud up into open inspection covers and knock out the tanks ... someone saw it on the war channel ..

I would go for light armoured vehicles with cannons for sure.
