Hi,

If youre in the UK and intent of going to FL this w/e :

"Just recvd confirmation from Duxford Aerodrome that the weather is projected to sunny, clear, 21c, approx 8mph wind. Funny thing is BBC weather is reporting the same,..."

from : http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=295835

Thats a relief then. Cos its sheeting down here now (bout 40m north of Dux)

Regards.

Reports look good for Duxford for Saturday, not so good Sunday.I will be there both days.A squaddie who works there told me today that there is an excellent chance of the FW190 flying!

21 degrees, sunny and a 100% chance of many drunk DD's there.

I think 10 of the squad are going to show up from NA and the UK to attempt a mass drunk/airshow get together.

Wow! How lucky is that considering the weather we've been labouring under for the last month? Look forward to lots of good piccies (not going myself).

Down here in St Neots at the mo, went past Duxford last night and the Catalina was looking very sorry for itself out in some nasty weather. Bright and shiny at the moment though.

Been out of the loop; you all know that Glacier Girl isn't going to make it?

Broken cylinder head, stuck in Goose Bay. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

I guess she really, really doesn't want to come to England, eh?

Real disapointed about Glacier Girl but from what I've read her crew are a ruddy determined bunch and I'm sure she will make it here eventually.

Going on Sunday, quite a few of the UK dedi chaps will be there.

Does anyone have more info on the 190? I've looked here:

http://www.flugwerk.de/fotos/fw190_uk3.htm

as I saw it was a Flugwerk machine. Is the one shown the one going to Duxford?

Going Saturday, fingers crossed for good weather!

Hi BG, thanks for that. Arrival time will be at the discretion of a m8 who's driving up, but I'll try my best.

Will you be hanging around there for a while? If not will you be wearing a red carnation and holding a newspaper under your arm to aid recognition http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ?

If we miss you at 10am, we will be back there at the American Pav on the right hand side of the Pav facing the building at 1:30pm to meet Psycho who is coming in from New York. I haven't arranged my wardrobe for the day yet apart from the royal blue pants and a light blue baseball cap with a red Scottish Lion. If it's cold, I will have a bright red sweater on. If it's warm, a golf shirt.

We'll see what we can do.
I'll have a broadcast quality video camera, however in the hands of a rank amateur there's no guaranteeing I'll capture anything other than the ground.

But I will have my 300D and 200mm lens, which I will entrust to my ex pro photographer father.

@ Uther... I'll look out for the drunk tatood trainers then m8 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
