Her we are, everything seems to be done but we still have some little things to do ( not much anyway).
Our big problem is the poly number because this one is a double pit, and if you want to have it precise it becomes heavy.
Maybe we'll have to optimize it more or make it as two separate pits we'll see.
The MG below isn't made to be seen like that, but it is a way to show you some more details. So don't worry if the shells look strange in that position.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

Mabe we could have all those black boxes fully functional in BoB: working, clickable knobs and dials. That would be pretty amazing.

Fantastic work! S!

This one will be even better I think!

Just an FYI, the poly limit for pits in IL2 has jumped from 2500 to 5000-6000+. Also, I would model the two pits in differant files. You cant really see the pit very well from the gunner and visa-versa. So then you will get 6000 per position. Wonderful work guys!!!

- From what was described at Birmingham flight sim exhibition, the B o B [the new Bo B sim] is going to be completely re developed from the ground up with new software etc.I would therefore assume that the models for F/B to the B o B would be totally different[Incompatable],hopefully better as well as it will be 2 years + further down the line. That is really hopeful as this M E 110 is amazing now and to think it may be better as well WOW

Thanks for your comments http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)
our team is very very close to the end of working on this cockpit..
and thanks gibbage, i'm not sure about the polys limit.. if this is really 6000 that's cool.. because in the pilot pit there is 3900polys and in the navigator/gunner pit there is 5900polys..

the pilot has 6,8Mo of textures and the nav/gunner has 6,67Mo of texture..

we have very simplified the pilot pit when viewed from the gunner/nav places.. but this don't appear to ugly.. actually there is onyl 2 days of work that remains.. after i start to optimize it.. but.. hard to do without damaging the look.. so if the poly limit is really 6000, that's very cool.. i delete all invisibles polys and simplify that's a normal optimization.. without loss http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)

I pray that the nav pit is usable.. (altimeter/afn2 and the third instrument) and naturally the radar. but.. i have no news about this..

Men, that's AWESOME!!!!

You did a great job again with this beauty!! I really like it. The 262 is already looking good but this is top notch. Quite detailled stuff in there.

Can't wait to fly that bird with an "office" finally /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif . One question... will it be possible to look over the radio stuff from the rear seat like in your screens??? It's cool to fly from that position somehow, although unrealitic /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif . I also love that in TB-3... It's just coolness to sit far back in that plane. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Wow looks great guys. I can't wait to fly it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

I also hope the engine nacelles on the Bf110G external get fixed...they are the wrong shape...nobody seems to care about that though.

Cheers,

I can't wait to get my hands on the Bf110, what a gorgeous aircraft.

Amazing detail in the cockpit, I liked the wiring running along the fuselage especially.

I am sure about the poly limit. The P-51 pit is 5900. I checked myself http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
