For starters let me just say that I have never been to an air show http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif If I had to describe this air show and all the events leading up to I must say it was "AWESOME" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . I really mean it. I think their will be no other like it.

The people I have met from the IL-2 community were also awesome. I had just a great time chatting and getting to meet the people behind the voices. It was truly a enjoyable experienced.

In closing, I and others will be working on how we can get a large LAN party going at the Air Museum in Dayton. All proceeds will be give to the Air Museum. We are taking about 100 to 200 people. I hope the IL-2 communities will embrace it.

An awesome time. You really don't know what you have missed. Glad to have met you all.

Salute! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

"Business end of a P-47D"

Interestingly, that example is a P-47G painted to represent a P-47D.

Great pics!

It was indeed fun to meet everyone. And I agree that this show was over the top and will doubtless never be topped.

I live about 2 hours from the USAF Museum and am a member as well, so the LAN thing has my interest.

I'm about an hour south of Dayton and the LAN idea sounds great - will have to hurry and get my new pit finished!

Wow, sounds like there are more Ohioans around here than I realized. p-11.cAce, mind saying what part of town you live in? I'm from West Chester myself (moved to C-bus about 4 years ago).
