Gozr flew it at a show this past weekend, in San Fancisco. He mentioned sliding canopies

Hahahaha yea not that easy mostly to make shure to touch the wheell at the start of the carrier and hook on.
The best is to fly by pass the carrier when others are taking off, it really add something of reality...

The thing i like a lot is the corsaire and the capability to close the wings to be able to park.
We can also open cockpits...
I'm shure it will be a blast online with the carriere and the islands maps the planes are awesome but the cockpits could of been done better IMOP.. The water is awesome.

Yep, it's my understanding that the canopies will be on a slider as part of the new features. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

As you can see from the screenshots, you can also raise your seat-position, as it seems. Seems the sliding of the canopy is not for fun only.

Nice, but tell me one thing: only the new aircrafts will open their canopies or also the old ones like P-47, P-51 and P-80, for example...?

the notorious canopy on a slider cheat will need to be addressed in an early patch I suspect
