just picked up the Complete 26 part Victory at Sea series on DVD at the Walmart for $5.50 yesterday. Richard Rogers' score is still impressive after all these years. Many great sequences of U-boats and period films of convoys to all of you modders out there. Great narration, the whole package. If you don't already have the collection, by all means, look for it. My personal favorite episode was The Battle for Leyte Gulf. Especially after meeting a retired Chief Gunner's Mate from the USS California who was Mount 51 captain at Surigao Straits

My favorite line from the whole series:

"and now, Rings around Rabaul."

Been available at WallyLand for maybe 8 months or more like this. Dad paid over $30ish, so I snagged it @ $5.50. It's the same thing, the real deal.

Watch for the Opel full of Jermins trying to escape (Tunis I think). The driver takes a hard left-hander and about rolls the whole she-bang.

The music drives me bananas though.

I got burned. Paid $7.50.
Super source of screen caps and vid caps.
3 DVD's, 26 eps and I dunno how many hours, that B&W really compresses!
